Make Marketing More Exciting and Fun with Mobile Marketing!

Everyone knows that technology has revolutionized marketing in a big way over the past 20 years. Everyone thought that the television was the ultimate marketing medium until the Internet came along. But now, if you are not doing mobile marketing, you are missing on some fantastic opportunities.

Many companies are discovering the power of text message promotions. Just think about this. Less than 5% of email promotional messages are actually opened and read. With increasing legislation against spam, and advertisers being required to mark their advertising emails as such, the open/read rate could be set to drop even further!

Compare this with text message solutions. Statistics have shown that 94% of mobile text messages are actually opened and read. Add to that the fact that most people (84%) have their mobile phones with them all the time, and you have a powerful, compelling marketing media that is almost unbeatable.

If you are not sure about who you can work with, go check out www.advancedtele.com, a company that specialises in mobile marketing. In my opinion, one of the most fun marketing methods would be to use promotional texts (more information here: www.promotxt.com). People are used to receiving short messages calling them to action. Hence, promotional texts coming in are almost “hypnotic” in their power to push a brand! And you know, the real power? Each individual can be individually targeted. If that does not give you, the marketer, goose pimples, I don’t know what will!

Finally, for those junk mail junkies, the mobile marketing world is ready for you too. Check out www.txtlaunchpad.com for some solutions on those text message blasts. It’s like an email blast, only sexier!

Hope this have given you guys some great ideas for injecting more fun and more live into your marketing campaigns.

I don’t know Calvin. Maybe I’m unique, or a dinosaur, or something. I don’t look forward to getting unsolicited spam text message on my mobile devices. In fact, I sort of dread it. I can’t imagine myself purchasing a product that was promoted that way.

    Good article, though!

Laura: Well, the times, they are a-changing. Already, I am getting Credit Card promotions, drink discounts, shopping vouchers and such stuff on my mobile phone! I heard in India, there is a company that offers FREE mobile phone, powered by ads! Imagine that!

siddiq: I use the DiggIT plugin found here – http://tuggo.org/projects/diggit/ and I add the code into the Main Index Template just after this line: < ?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?> Hope this helps.
