Creating your own Avatar?

In the early days of the Internet, avatars were the “wow” factor for many new sites. If you had a site, and it allowed users to have an avatar… wow!

Those days came and went, or so we thought. Looks like now, avatars seem to be back again. I just realised this, so I must have been buried in work all this time (yeah, all true!). So, here are TWELVE, yes, 12 sites that allow you to custom create your own avatar. I saw this and thought to share this with you guys:

  1. Hi,

I’d always wondered how I could replace my thumbnail photo with an avatar. The 12 online applications that you link to are great for the job. Thanks.

  2. Thank you for this reference. Personalization of a blog experience is important.

All theories of selling tell us that making the client feel some sort of ownership of the service or product will be the difference between repeat business and a lack of product or service loyalty.

If an avatar gets the client one step closer to the business owner’s inner circle, that is exactly where we want the client to be.

Once the client is in the inner circle, in the know, feels as though he or she knows what’s really going on, he or she becomes business family. Those types of clients are worth ten of those who drift in and are gone before you can say Jackie Robinson.
